Automation Vs Manual Testing

Automation Testing Vs Manual Testing

Testing of software can be done in both Automation and Manual testing method, but it’s totally depends on the project requirement & scope, budget associated with the project, and which testing method will be benefited to the project.

However, before applying or running the Test Automation, it is best to test the system manually beforehand. The only drawback of Test Automation is if it is applied at early phase, then it can waste a lot of testing time because there is a high possiblity the structure of the system or even the coding may be changed, thus making the test scripts written before wasted.

Why Test Automation?

  • Increase Test Coverage as many as possible.
  • Regression Testing is best run using Test Automation if total number of test cases are huge or too many.
  • Can perform lengthly tests which manual cannot do. Running Test 24/7 is possible!!
  • Run simulatenously on multiple computers, hardware, OS, browsers without spending to much time on setup.
  • Fewer Human Resources but requires test automation engineer.
  • Reusability of the scripts. We don't need to create new scripts all the time.
  • Reliabe in finding defects especially during the Regression Testing.
  • Very effective for Load Testing
  • Very effective for Performance Testing.
  • Very effective for for LSecurity Testing.
  • Fast, Faster and Fastest!
